Even classic items can use a bit of updating sometimes. The Barbour Bedale is a well-loved classic that’s been around for forever, but it is a bit on the boxier end, as I have experienced myself. If you’ve been thinking about buying a Bedale but have a smaller waist relative to your chest size, consider picking up the Ashby jacket, which has a slimmer profile.
Like the Classic Bedale, the Ashby features Sylkoil wax (not the regular Bedale’s Thornproof wax) and comes in just one colorway - olive with brown corduroy collar.

What?! A space heater? What the heck is that doing on this blog? It’s true, usually the three words that come to mind when you talk about space heaters are "ugly" and "white" and "plastic." But not this one!
You get a bit of modern mixed in with a bit of retro (doesn’t it kind of look like a Marshall amp?) for this 1200-watt guy, and just in time for snowy weather! Hope all you folks who got hit by Athena are staying warm.
Keep your eyes peeled for a whole week of James Bond fun on Gear Patrol, kicking off with today’s Globe-Trotter Stabilist Rifle Case featured in the Skyfall film being released this week!
You might remember previously seeing Globe-Trotter’s Centenary on this site back in December 2010.
Are you a size L or XL? Put up this ballin’ wool coat on sale for $129, just in time for the winter. It’s already November, folks, so get on it!

Quick update for everyone not in New York. I was going stir crazy yesterday and decided to run outside last night and take a few shots in my neighborhood. Eerily beautiful, and thankfully no storm surge or flooding issues. Hope everyone in lower Manhattan is doing okay!
